Cyclists’ legs
- the functional mechanics of bicycles don’t change under long-lasting burden; (only the “tyre tread” wears out, and the rear drive wheel is more exposed, which doesn’t significantly affect the mechanics of the mechanism),
- before a race, cyclists already announce that, with legs, everything is possible; and after the race, they say the legs were good, bad, not the best, leg cramps...
The legs are treated as separated from the rest of the body. After a competition, when the data picture of Watts is analysed, conclusions can be drawn, but I won't go into that.
No debate about who suffered more or who suffered first – and based on this “suffering”, the conduct of sports competitions/tactics – and of course, only one celebrates the victory.
My dentist, Romana, who encouraged me to tackle “cyclists’ legs”, followed the closest stage of the Giro d’Italia 2024. At the finish line, she saw white-faced, completely exhausted competitors, who only made it to the end with God’s help. The winner was Pogačar; he’s able to maintain his working position throughout the entire course of the race, strikingly effectively, while for most of them, it gradually falls apart.
Yoga explains the functional activity of individual muscles, their synergy, and the role of antagonists – in detail and definitely anatomically correctly. This shows every transition into a single pose. Throughout its development, yoga has also strictly considered the human instinctive drive for individual movement and synergy. With the help of special auxiliary exercises and the rich yogic principles of movement
execution, we achieve coordinated movement training that is unlimited and offers today's competitive sports a "material basis" for effective loading during training of the basic movement model, as dictated by the rules and sports equipment of each sport. Modern technology today makes it very easy and fast for coaches to pass on desired data, which is a necessary part of the structured training process. For data to be advanced, the prerequisite is excellent, so-called “bio-mechanics” of
individuals.
"Kinesio & Yoga Assessment" is at the service of “bio-mechanics”!
For the next post, I’m preparing a KYA, for “cyclists’ legs”.
